The start time from Piazza Manzoni is as follows:

CHARITY RUN :                                          at 21.00 on Saturday 20 May 2017

The starting corrals will be calculated according to the reference times indicated in the registration form and verified by Datasport, with regard to times achieved in previous Stralugano events.

NB: Would you like to start from the front together with the top athletes? When registering – only for the Half Marathon – on Datasport, by paying an extra 100 CHF you can choose the “guaranteed start in 1 block” option!

All money collected with these special bibs (there is a limited number) will be used to support the associations in our Charity Programme.

Access to corrals shall be from the South side – end of Via Nassa – Piazzale LAC.

You are asked to make your way to the corrals at least 10 minutes prior to the start

Considering that this two lap race passes through the town, time limits have been established to avoid that the leading runners lap too many other runners.

We have established a 2 hour 50 minutes time limit for completing the Half Marathon

We would therefore ask those who cannot keep up the pace and stay within the time limit, to take part in the 10 km race, where the limit is 1 hour 45 minutes

For the Half Marathon and the RelayRun: refreshments and sponges (alternating) every 5 km and after the finish energy drinks, water, bananas, apples and energy bars.

For the 10 km City race: refreshments at kilometre 5 and sponges at kilometres 2.5 and 7.5 after the finish energy drinks, water, bananas, apples and energy bars.

Participants in the Half Marathon may provide their own personal refreshments, by 09.30 (in the start area) indicating their bib number and their refreshment point.

The timekeeping service is carried out with disposable microchips provided by Datasport; these are inserted in the bibs.

We take participants’ safety very seriously. Therefore, during the race, runners are prohibited from using headsets to listen to music. At any time, race judges may stop anybody running who fails to comply with this rule.

Insurance costs are to be borne by participants. The organisation declines all liability in the event of accidents, damage or theft.

Massages are provided free of charge by LUDES physiotherapists at the Exhibition Centre, via Campo Marzio, Lugano-Cassarate.

Changing rooms, showers and baggage storage are located in the Exhibition Centre, via Campo Marzio, Lugano-Cassarate.

Supervised storage of personal baggage will be organised. Every participant will receive, attached to their bib, a coupon for handing over and collecting their baggage.

A storage facility for the safekeeping of valuables will be organised in the Exhibition Centre via Campo Marzio, Lugano-Cassarate

Rankings will be posted on the race board located in the info point in Piazza Riforma or they may also be viewed online on the Datasport site a few minutes after the end of the race.

By registering with the free Datasport text message service (see start list), it is possible to obtain one’s own time, immediately after the race.

The Prize Ceremony will take place during the Migros Pasta Party, in the building in the Ciani park. At 13.00 for the Half Marathon and at 14.30 for the 10 km City run
